Wrapped up for Summer? โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŽ

Hello Reader,
โ€‹

I hope youโ€™ve had a good week and are looking forward to the first Bank Holiday of the month. I could get used to a four day week!

โ€‹
Weโ€™ve had some beautiful weather the last few days, and itโ€™s definitely starting to feel like weโ€™re moving into summer. Very early light mornings, brighter days, and that lovely shift towards summer occasions.

โ€‹
It also got me thinking about gift wrapping at this time of year.

โ€‹
A lot of people naturally associate gift wrapping with Christmas, but some of my favourite wrapping actually happens in spring and summer.

Think:

๐ŸŒธ Weddings
๐ŸŽ‚ Birthdays
๐ŸŒฟ Garden parties
๐ŸŽ€ Baby showers
๐Ÿ’Œ Thank-you gifts
โ˜€๏ธ Just-because presents
๐ŸŽ“ Thank you teacher gifts at the end of the summer term
โ€‹

โ€‹
The colours and style change too. Pastels instead of deeper winter tones. Floral papers. Fresh whites. Bright ribbons. Softer textures.
โ€‹
Wrapping that feels joyful, light and full of celebration.
โ€‹

This week I used some of my favourite paper to create this summer-inspired wrap using my favourite pleating technique.
โ€‹

Thereโ€™s something lovely about matching the wrapping to the mood of the occasion. It doesnโ€™t need to be complicated, just thoughtful.

So if youโ€™ve only ever thought about gift wrapping in December, this is your reminder that beautiful wrapping can be part of celebrations all year round.

And Iโ€™d love to know...

What gift wrapping techniques would you love to learn over the summer?

Perhaps:
โ€‹

๐ŸŽ€ Better bows
๐Ÿ“ฆ Wrapping awkward shapes
โœ‚๏ธ Using less paper
โœจ Ribbon finishing touches
๐ŸŽ Beautiful corners and neat folds

Just hit reply and let me know. I always enjoy hearing what would be most helpful.

Best wishes,
โ€‹

Lou
